On Sunday, Feb. 9, former Great Crossing High School standout Nani Valencia’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 9-8 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Utah Utes.

The game took place at Alberta B. Farrington Softball Stadium. This was their second matchup against the Utes this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 13 at 6 p.m. at FAU Softball Stadium against Florida Atlantic Owls.
