On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Great Crossing High School standout Nani Valencia’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Tennessee Lady Volunteers.

The game took place at Big League Dreams Sports Park. This was their first matchup against the Lady Volunteers this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 9:30 a.m. at Big League Dreams Sports Park against Long Beach State Beach.
