On Friday, Feb. 7, former Great Crossing High School standout Nani Valencia’s current college team, the Minnesota Golden Gophers, lost 9-4 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the California Golden Bears.

The game took place at Alberta B. Farrington Softball Stadium. This was their first matchup against the Golden Bears this season.

The Golden Gophers’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 8 at 6:25 p.m. at Alberta B. Farrington Softball Stadium against Miami RedHawks.
