Cost of college went up for all students at Georgetown College

Tuition and fees rose 4 percent for 2018-19 at Georgetown College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Kentucky students paid $38,650 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $1,490 more than the $37,160 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 305 students received grants or scholarships totaling $9.1 million and 236 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.5 million.

Including all undergraduates (1,608), 983 students used grants or scholarships totaling $28.8 million, and 708 students took out $4.8 million in federal student loans.
